On July 6, 2018 at approximately 12:30 p.m., Guelph Police were called to John Gamble Park on Kortright Road West for a report of a male masturbating. It is alleged that a female was walking on the trail when a male was observed walking behind her, masturbating. Police searched the area but the male was not located.
The male is described as white, approximately 55 years old, 5’9”-5’10” tall with a lean build and facial scruff. He was wearing a blue baseball hat, blue dry fit shirt, khaki pants and tan hiking boots. The male also had sunglasses on.

Indecent Act - Arrest
On July 6, 2018 at approximately 8:00 p.m., Guelph Police were called to Howitt Park in regard to a male masturbating. Guelph Police attended to the area and located the male matching the description provided by the victim.
At approximately 8:09 p.m., a 15 year old male youth was arrested for an Indecent Act.
Recently there has been an increase in Indecent Acts within our community. Simply put, an Indecent Act is when a person willfully exposes their genitals in a public place. These acts seem to occur more commonly on trails, in parks and in more isolated areas.
If you are a witness or a victim to an Indecent Act, we encourage you to first and foremost, ensure your personal safety is not at risk and then call 9-1-1 to alert police of the crime. This is a serious offence that requires immediate police response so please do not wait or hesitate to call 9-1-1; once your safety is ensured, contact police immediately.
