Guelph police are once again reminding residents not to leave running vehicles unattended after a vehicle was stolen from a driveway Wednesday morning. It is the second so-called ‘warm-up theft’ in the city in the past five days.

A resident in the area of Paisley Road and Silvercreek Parkway North called police about 5:30 a.m. She reported she left her white 2014 Dodge Ram pickup running in the driveway and when she came back outside she saw it being driven away.

Last Friday, about 5:20 a.m., a resident in the area of Victoria Road North and Woodlawn Road East had a similar experience when their 2006 red Mitsubishi Eclipse was stolen from their driveway.

Anyone with information about either theft is asked to call the Guelph Police Service at 519-824-1212, leave an anonymous tip for Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
