The male resisted arrest, and after a brief struggle, the male was handcuffed.  The male provided a false name to university police. University police, along with the assistance of the Guelph Police, determined the male’s identity to be Karl Trento, a 23-year-old Guelph male.

Trento was charged with theft under $5000, obstruct police, resist arrest, and breaching a probation order x2. Trento is scheduled to appear in court on August 17, 2018.
