GUELPH-ERAMSOA TOWNSHIP – On July 6, 2016, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a dispatch call for a neighbour dispute on the Seventh Line of Guelph Eramosa Township.

Investigation revealed that the victim’s 19-year-old son had a verbal confrontation with the neighbour who had accused him of a criminal offence.

The victim, a 41-year-old female, approached the male in regards to the incident and he told her to get off the property and threw a beer can at her – striking her on her right side and soaking her clothes with beer.

46-year-old Eoin David Nisbet has been charged with assault with a weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled for a bail hearing today in Guelph Court to answer to the charge.
