Arrest made in vehicle break-ins

TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH - On Mar. 19, 2017 at approximately 8 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) started receiving reports of vehicles entries in the Township of Puslinch. Calls were focussed to the west of Aberfoyle in the vicinity of Wellington roads 32 and 35.

Property stolen from the vehicles included wallets, purses and credit cards.

The OPP are thanking the public for their assistance in identifying the woman caught on video using one of the stolen cards.

After further investigation the woman has been charged.

20-year-old Jordan Moynihan of Guelph has been charged with Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card X3, Fraud Under $5,000 X3, Posses Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 X2 and with Fail to Comply with Recognizance of a Justice contrary to the Criminal Code.

She will appear in Guelph Criminal Court on May 26, 2017.

The OPP would like to use this opportunity remind everyone about the LOCK IT OR LOSE IT campaign. It is a crime prevention program that reminds the public to lock their vehicles and to remove the valuables and keys from within.

This helps reduce the motivation and likelihood of Vehicle Entry crimes. If you do suspect that your vehicle has been entered please report it.
