Assault investigation results in numerous charges

On Sept. 23 at approximately 4 a.m., there was a disturbance at a Hewitt Lane residence.

When police arrived, investigation learned that a resident there had been assaulted in an altercation with another male that had been staying there for a short time and two other males that were visiting with him. The resident received injuries to his face and head area that were serious but not life threatening.

At 11:08 a.m. on Sept. 25, police were able to locate the 33-year-old Guelph male suspect at a Silvercreek Parkway address and take him into custody without incident. He is charged with aggravated assault, assault, two counts of uttering a death threat, mischief and breach of probation. He was held in custody and will appear in bail court today.
