Assault victim kneed in the jaw, say police

Suspect sought after victim suffers minor injuries

On Jan. 16, 2020 at 8:11 p.m., the Guelph Police Service were notified about an adult male who had just been assaulted in an apartment building located in the downtown core of the City of Guelph. The male had refused to let a group of six or seven people enter his building. When he tried to shut the door, an adult male kneed him in the jaw and struck him in the face, breaking his glasses. The group then left the area.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the male.

He is described as:
    •    Caucasian
    •    Late 20s/early 30s
    •    Tall
    •    Skinny build
    •    Glasses
    •    Black felt jacket
    •    White/tan military backpack

Please note that the victim sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention.
