ATV joyrider charged with impaired driving

On June 15, 2018, at approximately 7:54 p.m., Guelph Police responded to a report of an intoxicated male driving an ATV up and down Ferguson Street. Upon arrival, Police located the male driving his ATV erratically on Ferguson Street. Police spoke with the male and he was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

The male was searched incident to arrest and he was found to be in possession of a small quantity of a controlled substance, believed to be that of methylphenidate. The male was taken to the Police Station where he blew three times over the legal limit of alcohol.

A 26-year-old Guelph male, Ryan Lizotte, is scheduled to appear in court on July 6, 2018.
