Brampton woman charged with theft

On the morning of Sunday, June 11, 2017, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of a cell phone from the guard house at the Grand River Conservation Area, Rockwood.

An attendant had her $700 personal cell phone stolen by someone visiting the campground on the night of June 9, 2017.

Video surveillance captured the theft of the phone from the business as well as a licence plate associated to the suspect.

Upon further investigation, 22-year-old Sashauna Wilkins of Brampton was arrested and charged for theft under $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on July 21, 2017.
