Just before 3 a.m. this morning, alarm security personnel were responding to an internal alarm that had gone off at a Silvercreek Parkway business when they arrived and found that the business had been broken into through a rear door.

The lone male suspect was still inside the premise and when discovered, he ran off towards the Hanlon Expressway.

Police were called to search for the suspect and were assisted by Waterloo Regional Police K9. The male suspect was not located and at this time it is undetermined what was taken from the business.
