On the morning of May 30, police were called when a black 2007 Chrysler Sebring struck a tree and a utility box on Summit Ridge Drive in Guelph. Witnesses reported interacting with the male driver who (allegedly) refused to remain at the scene and walked away before police arrived.

Investigation revealed the identity of the driver and a warrant for his arrest on charges of impaired driving, drive disqualified, two counts of breach of probation, fail to remain and fail to report was obtained.

The 25-year-old Guelph man, who learned he was being sought by police, attended to the police station just before midnight on June 5 where he was held in custody to appear in bail court today.
