On April 23, 2018 at approximately 1:30 p.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was travelling on Highway 6 near Sideroad 6 East, Township of Wellington North. The officer observed a male driving a sedan, pull out from behind him and proceed to pass him. The vehicle was travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar over 145km/hr in an 80 km/h zone.
Nineteen-year-old Dylan Pfeffer of Wilmot Township has been charged with race a motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court June 6, 2018 to answer to the charge. His driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
