Dispute over car leads to arrest

On May 1, 2017 a Cambridge woman met with a Guelph man to purchase a Volkswagon Passat that he was selling. The two agreed on a price and the vehicle was sold.

The next day on May 2, the woman drove the car back to the home of the man in an attempt to return the car and demand her money back. There was an altercation in the parking lot where it is alleged that the female tried to run over the seller of the car when he would not accept the vehicle back. Police were called to investigate and as a result of that investigation, the woman came to the station later in the day and was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property.

Kathleen Morton, a 67-year-old resident of Cambridge was released to appear in court on June 2, 2017.
