Car stopped for expired validation tag. Multiple charges follow

On Dec. 11, 2017 at approximately 3:40 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle for an expired validation tag on Douglas Crescent, Fergus.

An investigation revealed the driver was operating a vehicle with numerous violations.

Twenty-nine-year-old Cole Gray of Fergus has been charged with:

  • Operate unsafe vehicle
  • Use plate not authorized
  • Drive motor vehicle with no currently validated permit
  • Permit use of validation not furnished for vehicle

He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on Jan. 17, 2018 to answer to the charges.
