Police say cash and jewelry was stolen during a break-in at a west end home Friday evening.

The owners of a home in the area of Tovell Drive and Elmira Road North arrived home about midnight Friday to find their bedroom ransacked. Dresser drawers were pulled out and left on the floor and the closet was rummaged through.

It was determined entry was made by forcing open a basement window from the backyard sometime during the evening hours.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Cont. Scott Wright at 519-824-1212, ext. 7330, email him at [email protected], leave an anonymous tip for Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
