A series of charges laid against a former employee in connection to a bomb threat hoax at the Fergus Walmart in 2019 have been dropped.

On Nov. 19, 2019, Wellington County OPP responded to the St. David Street North store after a note was reportedly found indicating there was a bomb in the business. The building was evacuated until the threat was deemed a hoax.

Marjorie Anne Gray, 63, of Fergus, was charged with uttering threats, falsifying information and mischief contrary to the criminal code.

Those charges were dropped during a court appearance in Guelph Wednesday.

Gray entered into a peace bond not to attend the store for one year.
