Charges laid in fatal Sideroad 15 crash

TOWNSHIP OF MAPLETON, ON - At approximately 8 a.m. on July 11, 2018 Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious two-vehicle collision at Concession 16 and Sideroad 15, Mapleton.

Reports indicate that a pickup truck with three occupants collided with a pickup truck with a single occupant.

The single occupant, a 43-year-old male from Palmerston, was killed. Two passengers in the second vehicle are in critical condition in hospital.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 21-year-old male, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Further investigation has revealed that the vehicle he was driving had been stolen.

21-year-old Ethan Robert Noble of Harriston has been charged with:

  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Cause Death
  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Cause Bodily Harm (two counts)
  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Driving while Impaired by Drug Cause Death
  • Driving while Impaired by Drug Bodily Harm (two counts)
  • Driving while Impaired by Drug
  • Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle while Impaired by Drug
  • Theft of a Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

He has been held for bail.
