A Guelph woman faces a child endangerment charge after she was arrested for impaired driving with her two young children in the car.

Just before 10 p.m. last Thursday, Guelph Police Service officers responding to a report of a possible impaired driver located a vehicle stopped in the middle of Fife Road. The driver had a strong odour of alcoholic beverage on her breath and two children under age 10 were observed in the back seat.

The driver was transported to the police station, where breath tests indicated she had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in her system. A 36-year-old Guelph woman is charged with impaired driving and exposing a child to danger.
