City police seek witnesses in fatal motorcycle collision

A Saturday collision involving a car and motorcycle on Wellington Street W at Edinburgh Road S resulted in the death of a motorcyclist, says Guelph Police Service.

Both vehicles, a motorcycle and a Mazda M3, were travelling on Wellington Street at the time of the 6:25 p.m collision, said police.

The intersection was closed to traffic as a result of the collision.

The woman driving the Mazda was sent to hospital with minor injuries. The motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene, said police.

At this time, no charges have been laid, said police.
