Collision leads to drug charge

On Sept. 15, 2017 at approximately 2:30 p.m., Guelph Police went to a collision at the crosswalk in front of 683 Woolwich Street. A Dodge Dakota pickup truck rear-ended a car that was waiting to turn left in the Evergreen Centre parking lot.

The driver of the Dodge was transported to Guelph General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Investigation at the scene led to the discovery of approximately $1,000 worth of marijuana inside the truck.

Keith Davis, 52 years of Guelph, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking marijuana. He was also charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
