8:50 a.m. update
On March 20, 2018, at approximately 6 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a fatal collision involving a single motor vehicle on Sixteenth Line, between Sideroad 19 and Sideroad 21, south of Arthur.
Mapleton Fire/Rescue along with Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service attended the scene. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver's name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by Wellington County OPP and OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI). The roadway will remain closed for several hours.
