Worried his dealer might be selling contaminated drugs, a 39-year-old Guelph man called police and wound up getting arrested on Wednesday.

Shortly after 1 p.m. the man called police to report what he believed could be glass in his methamphetamine. When police met him in a parking lot near Paisley Road and Imperial Road South, he removed a pen from his pocket and opened it to reveal a wrapper containing a small amount of suspected methamphetamine.

The man was arrested for possessing a controlled substance but released without charge, under the officer’s discretion. After seizing the suspected drug, police provided the man with information about addiction counselling and treatment options
