Copper cables, power tools stolen from gravel pit

Suspects caused extensive damage to two gravel crushers by cutting and removing all the copper cables from the machines

TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH - On Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 at approximately 9:30 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a break, enter and theft at a gravel pit located on Concession 2 in the Township of Puslinch. 

Investigation revealed that between the hours of 6 p.m. on Oct. 18 - 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 19, 2018, unknown suspects caused extensive damage to two gravel crushers by cutting and removing all the copper cables from the machines. A locked utility trailer was also entered and the majority of power and hand tools were stolen.

The theft is estimated at approximately $15,000 as well has caused grievous financial hardship for the property owner.
