Cops go on foot patrol, return to damaged police cruiser

On April 23, 2019 at 11:44 a.m., the Guelph Police parked a police cruiser on Carden Street and proceeded to do a foot patrol in the area. Shortly after, they were advised that a man was damaging their cruiser. Upon returning, the cruiser was observed to have large scratches to all its panels and a cracked tail light. Damage is estimated at approximately $1,500. Police know the person responsible.

The 45-year-old Guelph man is now being sought by police for the charges of mischief under $5,000 and breach probation.
