CRIME OF THE WEEK: Mischief, attempted vehicle theft

Police say someone shattered large window at the first business and broke car window nearby attempting to steal it

At approximately 2:17 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, an act of mischief occurred at a business located on York Road at Wells Street in Guelph and an attempted vehicle theft from a business nearby.

Damage was caused to a large window at the first business, shattering it, and at the second business, a car window was broken and the steering wheel damaged in an attempt to steal the vehicle.

The suspects are described as two males. One was white, late teens in early 20s, wearing a black hoodie with white writing, black pants with white stripes and white flip flops. The other had tanned skin, black curly hair, wearing a light-coloured NASA sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes with a white stripe on the side. They arrived together in a dark-coloured sedan.
