Cyclist accused of pulling knife in dispute with pedestrians

Knife call downtown - arrest

On November 10, 2016 at 1 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Quebec Street for the report of a male with a knife.

It is alleged that a male riding a bicycle became involved in a verbal altercation with two pedestrians when he pushed one of them and then pulled out a knife.

The male then left the area on his bike. Police located him shortly after and he was arrested.

The 26-year-old Guelph man has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, assault and weapons dangerous. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
