Cyclist struck at Gordon and Surrey intersection

On March 22, 2018 at approximately 8:25 a.m., Guelph police were called to the intersection of Gordon Street and Surrey Street where there was a report of a cyclist struck.

Investigation alleges a Ford driven by a Guelph female, was southbound on Gordon Street approaching Surrey Street. A Guelph cyclist was northbound on Gordon Street, approaching Surrey Street. The cyclist and Ford collided in the intersection.

As a result of the collision, the cyclist received minor injuries (not transported to hospital). The female driver was charged with an unsafe turn under the Highway Traffic Act.
