Death at Elora Gorge deemed not suspicious

TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON - On Aug. 29, 2019, at approximately 4:00 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an injured person call at the Irvine River portion of the Elora Gorge near the David Street Bridge in Centre Wellington.

Initial reports indicated that an unknown male had sustained serious trauma and required medical attention.

The investigation has concluded that the deceased male, a local man in his 40's, died of multiple blunt force trauma. The death is not considered to be suspicious.
