Discovery of stolen vehicle leads to numerous charges for Guelph man

On Oct. 9, 2018 at approximately 11:42 a.m., Guelph Police located a vehicle on Dakota Drive that had been reported stolen out of South Bruce. In the passenger seat was a male who was wanted for failing to comply.

Through investigation, the male was further charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 for the stolen vehicle. As police arrested the male, a collapsible baton was hidden between his leg and the seat. The male was further charged with carry a concealed weapon and weapons dangerous.

As a result of a search incident to arrest, police located a second set of keys belonging to another stolen vehicle, as well as a wallet and identification that did not belong to the male. The male was further charged with two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000. A 25-year-old Guelph male is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 10, 2018.
