On Dec. 11, 2019 at 9:02 p.m., an adult male confronted a security guard in the public waiting area of the emergency room at the Guelph General Hospital. He [started] yelling and swearing at the security guard and [allegedly] attempted to punch him. The security guard then detained him. Police attended the scene and arrested the male.
A 28-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:
• Assault
• Cause a disturbance
• Breach probation order
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing on Dec. 12, 2019.
