Robbery investigation needs your help

Police are investigating an attempt robbery which occurred at approximately 10 p.m. on Friday February 17 on Imperial Rd. N in the area of Westwood Rd. 

A female was walking her dog on Imperial Rd. when she was approached by an unknown male suspect wearing dark clothing.  The male suspect asked the female for money and when she refused to give any, the suspect struck the female across the face before he fled on foot running S/B on Imperial Rd. towards Westwood Rd. 

According to the victim there was a male and female walking S/B on the east side of Imperial Rd. by Sugarbush Place that may have witnessed the suspect fleeing the area.  The suspect is described as M/W, late teens to early 20’s, about 5’9”, thin build, blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a black hoodie with a red inside liner and black track pants.

Police would like to speak to this couple or any witnesses that may have information in regards to this incident. Anyone who may have information regarding this incident can contact Cst.
