Driver, 91, charged after pedestrian struck

Pedestrian was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries

A Guelph senior faces a Highway Traffic Act charge after a pedestrian was struck Wednesday afternoon.

Approximately 2:50 p.m. the Guelph police were called to the intersection of Gordon Street and Arkell Road. A male was crossing the street when he was struck by a car. The pedestrian was transported to hospital by the Guelph Wellington Paramedic Service for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the car, a 91-year-old Guelph male, was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
