Driver accused of going 125 km/h in a 60 km/h zone

On Sept. 4, 2019, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police officer was monitoring traffic on Laird Road West south of the City of Guelph. The officer observed a white pickup truck travelling above the posted 60 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 125 km/h.

As a result, Paul J. Schnurr, 54-years-old of Guelph has been charged with race a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Guelph at the Ontario Court of Justice - Provincial Offences Court on Nov. 20, 2019
