Driver airlifted to Toronto after rollover

Police say his injuries are serious but not life-threatening

TOWN OF ERIN - On Mar. 23 at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the Halton Hills Fire Department and Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a single motor vehicle rollover on Wellington Road 50 between Trafalgar Road and the Sixth Line of the Town of Erin.

Investigation revealed that the 2004 Ford was travelling westbound on Wellington Road 50 when the driver lost control of his vehicle and entered the north ditch and rolled over several times.

The male driver was transported to a Georgetown Hospital by land ambulance and later transported to a Toronto Hospital by air ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

This investigation is still ongoing and any person with information regarding this collision is asked to contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
