Driver allegedly took vehicle without consent

On Jan. 5, 2018 at approximately 6 p.m., a Nissan was in the parking lot of a variety store in the east end of the city. This Nissan exited the parking lot and collided with another vehicle that was traveling northbound on Victoria Road. From this initial collision, one of the vehicles lost control and hit a third vehicle.

Investigation into this revealed that the male in the Nissan did not have permission to drive it. As a result of this incident, a 27-year-old Guelph man was charged with take motor vehicle without consent under the Criminal Code and several other Provincial offences. He was given a Feb. 23, 2018 court date.
