Driver charged with doing 120 km/h in a 60 zone

A Kitchener male was taken off the road and had his vehicle impounded after he was caught early Thursday allegedly driving twice the speed limit in Guelph.

Guelph police were conducting patrols in the area of Woodlawn Road West and Governors Road when they clocked a westbound motor vehicle travelling 120 km/h in the posted 60 km/h zone.

A 41-year-old Kitchener male was charged with stunt driving and speeding. His driver’s licence was immediately suspended for seven days and his motor vehicle impounded for 14 days.
