Driver charged with impaired after car hits hydro pole

Toronto woman had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol, police say

On Feb. 13, 2019, Guelph Police investigated a single car accident into a hydro pole near Gordon Street and University Avenue. As a result of the accident, there are no injuries and minimal property damage. The investigation determined that the female driver had (allegedly) been drinking.

As a result, the 21-year-old Toronto female was placed under arrest and was charged with operating a motor vehicle with over 80mg of alcohol. The female provided breath samples resulting in over double the legal limit of alcohol. She is to appear in court on March 1, 2019.
