On June 4, 2018 at approximately 10:30 p.m., Guelph Police were called into the area of Laird Road and the Hanlon Expressway in regard to a collision and a vehicle leaving the scene. Police attended the area and the vehicle was located in the area of Victoria Road and Claire Road.
Police spoke with a male driver and he was subsequently arrested for impaired driving, driver over 80, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and fail to remain at the scene of an accident.
Cyril Maher, a 54-year-old Guelph male, was given a court date of June 22, 2018.
