On Oct. 22, 2019 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Guelph Police were dispatched to the area of Woolwich Street and Eramosa Road for the report of a single motor vehicle collision. A concerned citizen contacted Police and advised that she heard a collision and saw the vehicle on a median before observing all occupants flee the area.
Police were able to located the involved parties and identify the responsible driver. It is alleged that the female driver was under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for operation while impaired. The female driver was further charged with fail to remain and Novice driver - BAC above zero.
The 20-year-old Cambridge female was later released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of Nov. 8, 2019.
