Driver charged with impaired following single-vehicle crash, rollover

On Sept. 12, 2019, at approximately 3:30 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a single-vehicle collision on Second Line, north of Ospringe. Initial reports indicated that a driver had lost control and rolled their vehicle onto a private driveway.

OPP, Town of Erin Fire & Emergency Services and Guelph-Wellington Paramedics Service responded. The lone occupant had suffered minor injuries. While speaking with the driver, officers formed the opinion that the driver was impaired by alcohol. The driver was transported to a local hospital.

As a result of the investigation, Jason Matthew Clark, 45-years-old of Erin has been charged with impaired operation and failure to comply with a demand for breath. A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Guelph at the Ontario court of justice - on Oct. 15, 2019.
