Driver faces multiple charges after 'erratically' driving in Guelph

Police also determined the 37-year-old misidentified themselves and stole the grey sport utility vehicle they were driving

On June 23, 2022, at approximately 12 a.m., Wellington County OPP responded to a traffic complaint on the Hanlon Expressway, Guelph. It was reported that a grey sport utility vehicle was being driven erratically. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen and that the driver misidentified themselves to officers.  

As a result of the investigation, Graham Macpherson, 37, of Rockwood has been charged with the following:

·      CC 403(a)(d) personation with Intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice

·      CC 320.14(1)(a) operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs

·      CC 88 possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

·      CC 129(a) resist peace officer

·      CC 354(1)(a) possession of property obtained by crime over $5000

·      CC 354(1)(a) possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

·      HTA 53(1) driving while under suspension

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph at a later date.
