TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON - On Feb. 2, 2018 at approximately 3:30 p.m. a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting patrol on St. Andrews Street and conducted a traffic stop.
It was determined thru the investigation that the driver was operating a motor vehicle with a suspended drivers licence.
While speaking with the driver, officers formed the belief that he also under the influence of alcohol. A demand was made for a roadside screening device however the driver refused.
Sixty-year-old Ronald Hunwicks of Centre Wellington been charged with refuse to provide sample and driving under suspension.
A 90-day administrative driver's licence suspension (A.D.L.S.) and seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on Feb. 27, 2018.
