Early morning break-and-enter leads to charges

Sometime between 4 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 14, a male entered a Mason Court home through an unlocked sliding door and made off with electronic equipment. The male was later identified by police from surveillance video.   

At approximately 3:55 a.m. this morning, police received a call about a suspicious person in the area of Waterloo Avenue and when they arrived, they located male walking away from a residence. This person was the male responsible for the Mason Court break-in.

The 20-year-old male from Guelph was arrested and charged with break and enter, possession of stolen property and two counts of breach of probation. He was held in custody and will appear in bail court today.
