Edinburgh Road collision results in impaired charges

On April 20, 2018 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Guelph police were called to the area of Edinburgh Road South and Kortright Road West, where there was a report of a collision. Investigation alleges a vehicle, driven by a Guelph female, was northbound on Edinburgh Road South, when a Mazda that was southbound suddenly swerved into and struck her vehicle, causing her vehicle to spin out. There were no serious injuries as a result of this collision. Total damage is estimated to be $10,000.

Investigation lead to the arrest of the Mazda driver. Chadd Bauman, a 22-year-old Waterloo man, was charged with impaired driving. He was given a May 1, 2018 court date.
