An employee of a downtown business faces assault charges after two customers were reportedly spat on Friday afternoon, say Guelph police.
A verbal altercation began between the employee and customers, during which the employee spat on both, striking one in the face and the other in the shoulder area. The employee fled before police arrival but was located a short time later and arrested.
A 40-year-old Guelph man is charged with two counts of assault. He will appear in a Guelph court Sept. 27.
