Employee receives serious injuries, two men charged with assault

On March 31, 2018 at approximately 11:30 p.m., Guelph police were called to a Wyndham Street North business where there was a report of a disturbance. It is alleged that staff of the business were assaulted during the disturbance. Investigation revealed the identity of two suspects in this incident.

Abdulahi Ali, a 26-year-old Hamilton man, was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault. Abdinasir Mohamed, a 26-year-old Cambidge man, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault. Both were given a May 18, 2018 court date.

A staff member of the business is reported to have serious but non-life threatening injuries to his face.
