Fergus man charged following theft from LCBO

On Nov. 20, 2017 at Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a theft that had occurred at the LCBO store in the Town of Fergus.

Investigation revealed that at approximately 4:55 p.m., a male entered the LCBO and proceeded through the store concealing several bottles of alcohol on his person. The male then (allegedly) attempted to leave the store without paying when he was stopped by loss prevention staff.

Thirty-three-year-old Brendan Fleming of Fergus has been charged with:

  • Theft under $5,000 - shoplifting
  • Fail to comply with recognizance
  • Assault with intent to resist arrest

 He was held for bail.
