Firearms, ammunition reported stolen during Rockwood break-in

TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH-ERAMOSA - On Aug. 3, 2021 at approximately 6:30 a.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wellington County Detachment responded to a report of a break and enter at a residence on Christie Street in Rockwood.

It was reported that sometime overnight unknown suspects entered a secure trailer on a residential property and stole a metal gun locker that contained the following items:
    •    Black .22 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a wooden stock
    •    Ammunition
    •    Black air rifle with a wooden stock
    •    Black air pistol with a 10" barrel with a wooden grip
    •    Black CO2 air pistol - revolver style

A variety of construction tools were also stolen.

Several vehicles on Kaine Hill Drive were also entered and property stolen over the long weekend. The Wellington County OPP want to remind residents to report any suspicious activity or incidents to police immediately. Your information may help to interrupt a potential crime, help to identify a crime trend, suspect, or prevent further crimes.
