Fourth person charged in connection with downtown police raid

A fourth person has been arrested in connection with the seizure earlier this week of weapons and drugs from a downtown apartment.

On Wednesday, members of the Guelph Police Service Break Enter Auto Theft (BEAT) and Tactical units executed warrants at a downtown apartment building. A restricted firearm, several other weapons and approximately $6,000 worth of controlled substances were seized and three people arrested at the scene.

On Thursday a male wanted in connection with the investigation turned himself in to police.

A 47-year-old Guelph male is charged with several weapons offences as well as possessing stolen property. He will appear in a Guelph court March 8.
