Guelph Police Service dealt with 199 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Police arrest two on warrants
A 19-year-old Hamilton man wanted on two warrants. Charges are theft of motor vehicle, six counts of breach probation, two counts of fail to comply with sentence, use stolen credit card and possess stolen property. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 29-year-old Guelph female wanted fail to appear. She will appear in court on June 5, 2019.

Break and enter
On April 12, 2019, at 3:39 a.m., the Guelph Police went a Waterloo Avenue business for a break and enter in progress. When police arrived, the culprit(s) were no longer there. Entry had been gained by smashing a rear window. A theft of scratch cards is reported, although police did recover a majority of them in the area. Investigation is ongoing.
